Daily Comment

The weekend has arrived. After a jam-filled week, I am looking forward to resting, but I probably won't get a lot of that done.

There's a lot going on tonight, musically. It's Friday night, and many of my musician friends' bands are gigging. And then, there's a Saturday gig for me. And an untypical three-jam Sunday (usually, there are only two).

So, even though I'm writing this Friday afternoon, I'm starting off the weekend exhausted.

Thank you, last-minute Thursday night sub-gig. No, I really mean that - I got to sub for my friend who usually sits in the house bass seat at Mac's Bad Art Bar's Thursday night open mic.

As much as I love it (I would have been there anyway, as a player), it ran an hour over last night, and I got precious little sleep. And ate too much of the wrong stuff, and gained weight.

Still had a great time, but I see a nap in my evening plans. Maybe, just maybe, then I'll be right to 'make the rounds' in support of local live music.
