Daily Comment

I went out to hear some friends' bands, met up with friends along the way, and had a great time. Probably better than if I'd followed my original inclination to stay home, but we'll never really know.

I won't be updating until next Monday, so I just want to wish you all a happy 2016.



Food and Diet Section



Today's Weight:                   206.0 lbs.
Previous Weight (12/30):          204.4 lbs.
Net Loss/Gain:                   +  1.6 lbs.

Diet Comment
Due to very late night eating, and not a lot of sleep, and weighing in only four hours after my last bite, I had an unpleasant surprise at weigh-in. I finished the year weighing a couple of ounces less than I did when the year started. That, in itself, is a pretty good achievement. In the course of the year, my high weight was 220 pounds, my low 200.6. Last New Year's Eve, I weighed in at 206.6. That's the year's summary, right there. I hope next year to do better, though! Have a happy!

Breakfast
A Quest bar.

Lunch
At Core:
Chicken Cobb salad (shredded kale and romaine, grilled chicken, avocado, bacon, hard-cooked egg and blue cheese dressing with a little sriracha). Not shown: A cup of beef-pork bone broth and a Quest bar.
Snack
Roast beef with Philippe's (famous) hot mustard and a Quest bar.

Dinner
At the Flat Iron Grill: Blackened scallops with a side salad with creamy blue cheese dressing, grilled zucchini, and Utica greens (escarole, peppers, cheese, breadcrumbs, bacon, pancetta, sausage, garlic, chicken stock).

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 2  Coffee:  24 oz.;  Water: 86+ oz;  and a shot of Jameson's Irish whiskey
