Daily Comment
Here's what I did the first day of my retirement:

I slept late, spent a lot of time on the computer, meditated, made breakfast (lunch), went to the Social Security office, got my 401K transfer form notarized, visited a friend, went groecery shopping, watched some TV during dinner, and then fell asleep.

I didn't do a single thing I planned to do during retirement.

But, it's early in the game, and I'm still on the learning curve.

My apartment has reached the point where something has to be done about the mess.

I intend to dedicate February to that. I'm being ambitious.

This is my "Third Age". I think I'm a good finisher. At least, if there's a trend formed by the first two 'Ages'. But this 'Third Age' sure got off to a good start, beginning on my birthday last Friday. I intend to make as much of it as I can, and finish strong.

After all, there is no "Fourth Age".

That I only gained a little over a pound over the weekend is incredible. As unreal as anything else that happened since Friday. Still reeling.
